Strange, Weird, And Controversial PROOF there is NO MONEY in manual grunt prospecting, door knocking, and begging for referrals

I remember when I first started in the business, I had just moved here, I knew very few people sold a home or two to family…now what? I asked my broker how to get more real estate business. His answer was “Use the phone book and cold call people”. Being naïve, I did cold call out of the phone book and actually got 1 sale from it. At the time, that made me a ‘top producer” and my broker gave me an award for having a sale. At the time, I thought it was a bit odd. Isn’t that why I got my Real Estate license? To make a living selling homes? It did not seem as though I was making quite enough to make a living at selling homes though.

Here are issues with Cold Calling, Grunt Prospecting, Sitting Open Houses & Door Knocking:

  • These days, you cannot cold call people unless you check to make sure they are not on the “Do Not Call” list, for fear of being sued.
  • Most People will not answer their doors if you ‘door knock’.
    • If they do answer, what is the compelling reason to do business with those agents?
  • Open Houses are risky and attract mostly un-qualified and un-motivated prospects

I decided I had to do something with my time so I set out to learn how to grow my real estate business from top-selling agents in North America.

Now I am a top-selling agent!
