When we think of our military we think of men and women who fight tyranny and stand for democracy. They are the most brave among us, who go into situations around the world, the danger of which we could never fathom. We don’t always think about the hardships that they and their families suffer as a term of their service to our county. 

Love our Veterans: Appreciate them out loud, often and tangibly.

We should be aware of the issues that await our service members as they return home. These challenges are tough to wade through on your own and can often be stigmatizing. A full 30% of the homeless population in this country are veterans! Mental health issues like PTSD, depression and suicide are prevalent. One soldier dies by their own hand each day. This is unacceptable.

Giving to these charities helps our soldiers and veterans with a variety of services, from mental health and physical rehabilitation to family services and helping to create circumstances for personal independence.
